The Miele CM5200 Black Countertop Coffee System is a very expensive and high-end coffee maker. This is a wonderful coffee/espresso machine. I’m not going to cover technical aspects as previous reviewers did it quite well and with great details.

This is no small coffee maker but it is not huge either. It is slightly larger than my KitchenAid mixer with which it now shares counter space. This is a whole-bean system and the machine is very capable of grinding beans with one touch. It will also take pre-ground coffee but I do not recommend this - use whole beans to get fresher, more fragrant and more flavorful coffee.

Had Brew Express BEC-110BS 10-Cup Countertop Coffee System, Stainless/Black for months now, and it really makes morning coffee pretty wonderful. Perfect cup of coffee after trying just about everything to make my previous 2 make a good cup (and they were "good" brand names). Just makes coffee great all the way around! As others have said, it's not difficult to pour water in a coffee maker. Night after night after night. It also makes a very good tasting pot of coffee. Installation was a breeze.

It's one of the day's regular pleasures and we drink coffee every day. We buy good coffee.

For years we used a small plastic Krupps grinder and a Krupps then Cusineart coffee maker. My idea of coffee is entirely changed. It is just terrific coffee. I used to make my coffee in a cup at a time in a pour-over Hario V60, but I wanted to simplify my morning routine without compromising on coffee quality. Most coffee makers don't get water hot enough to properly extract coffee (and fluctuate in temperature throughout the brew cycle).

I love this Bonavita BV1800TH coffee maker. I was frustrated with these cheaply made coffee makers. This one cost a bit more, but it is a GREAT coffee maker. It brews a wonderful cup of coffee. Easy to set up, easy to clean, quick, and consistently excellent coffee. We usually brew six cups.

Pros: Easy-to-fill water reservoir, just a single control, great heat retention (probably due to the glass-lined Thermos-style pot), quick brew and clean-up, and a pour-over filter holder which means there's nothing really to wear out there. Cons: Not good for people wanting a morning timer to switch the brewer on, or needing more than 8 cups.
